Yes I can dress appropriately for the work I need to do. But this is me.
I am going to be writing newsletters and giving many opinions. Everyone has opinions. Some opinions can be based upon the hearsay from the third cousin of a friend of your neighbor's handyman, and can cause more harm than good, which often does.

I am not a Programmer, Hacker or Geek. I am a bridge between the all knowing and the never trained
Twenty years Electronics Technician in the US Navy, the youngest sailor to get the designation as Navy Instructor, spent most of my carrier bouncing between ships and remote stations, studying non-standard navy equipment repairing them and creating user friendly courses and training. This eventually included computers with their many shapes and sizes.
I also obtained a 4 year degree in Workforce Education and Curriculum Development.
Upon retiring from the Military I started a business named Computer Professor. I still repair computers; but I wanted it known that, training to improve skills and understanding, is a major focus.
In the last twenty plus years in Saint Augustine, I have served to provide assistance in home schooling, skill development for basic computers and for Microsoft Office Skills Certification for individuals and companies. I have taught community classes at Jacksonville and St Johns Community/State collages.
I have provided computer/MSOffice skills training for teachers, individuals and employees of businesses; as well as course development for internal training. For the last several years my focus, and the greatest need, has been with the individual on home computers of all skill sets.
My non-stop life experience with computers gives me an advantage of experiencing and seeing the computer problems and the misunderstandings over time. The Navy training drove me to find out "why" these issues exist, and to solve the mysteries that plague all users, young and old. That plus I care, courtesy of my upbringing. With a little explanation and some foundation training in computers (still missing in public schools), one can start to understand enough to go as far as they want on the computer.
